　　在一个万圣节的夜晚，保姆莎拉（凯蒂·马奎尔 Katie Maguire 饰）受雇于某户人家，在男女主人外出过节之际照顾他们的孩子提娅（Sydney Freihofer 饰）和提米（Cole Mathewson 饰）。淘气叛逆的提米偶然发现一卷未知录像带，拗不过两个孩子的纠缠，莎拉将录像带放入播放机中。这卷带子里有三个恐怖小短片，均讲述了少女们被可怕的小丑纠缠、折磨和囚禁的故事。第一个故事播放完毕，莎拉催促孩子们上床睡觉，她则独自欣赏剩下的短片。
夜深人静，万籁俱寂，当莎拉兀自沉浸在血腥恐怖的剧情中时，全没意识到故事中的小丑早已悄悄来到她们的身边，恐怖与死亡触手可及……
