◎简　　介

　　穆尼尔（塔哈·拉希姆 Tahar Rahim 饰）在年幼时期被安德烈医生（尼尔斯·阿莱斯楚普 Niels Arestrup 饰）从相对落后的摩洛哥带到比利时接受优越教育。从小到大穆尼尔都与安德烈医生一起生活，他对安德烈医生始终抱有敬畏的心情。这样的感情即便在他遇到未婚妻 米里耶莉（艾米莉·德奎恩 Émilie Dequenne 饰）之后也不例外。为了表示对安德烈医生的尊敬和感激，穆尼尔和米里耶莉婚后继续生活在安德烈医生的家中。可是随着夫妇两人的孩子接二连三出生，米里耶莉渐渐感受到与医生共同生活的不便与压抑。米里耶莉屡次向丈夫穆尼尔提出搬家的要求，但她的请求却在安德烈医生的旁敲侧击下被穆尼尔频频拒绝。面对与自己疏远的孩子，面对冷眼相加的丈夫，米里耶莉感受到巨大的精神压力。当家庭不再是她温暖的港湾时，米里耶莉做出了将整个家庭带向毁灭的抉择。

　　本片根据2007年比利时发生的真实事件改编。女主角艾米莉·德奎恩凭借此片获得2012年戛纳电影节“一种关注”单元最佳女主角奖。
