　　1660年，一场血腥的战争在法国和西班牙之间展开，和平似乎遥遥无期。在法国王朝，一场权力斗争也在红衣主教玛扎霖与年轻的国王路易十四之间展开。主教得到禁卫队的支持，而路易十四手下则是著名的侍卫队。瓦伦蒂娜是法国最著名的骑士达达尼昂之女，她不仅从父亲那儿学会了精湛的剑术，也继承了他对骑士事业的热忱。虽然达塔尼昂早已退休回家，但他仍然不忘报效国家，希望女儿可以继续他的使命。为了加入国王的骑士团，瓦伦蒂娜不辞辛苦来到了巴黎。但因为她是女儿身，纵使父亲的好友——侍卫军总指挥菲诺也不敢冒然让她加入。

　　瓦伦蒂娜初生牛犊不怕虎，一心想证明自己的实力，并接受了侍卫队击剑冠军和他的朋友们的挑战。没想到却意外认出这三个人正是小时候的玩伴甘斯托、天伊、安东尼，四人重逢非常开心，并配合默契地击败了前来捣乱的禁卫队士兵。此时的巴黎几乎完全被玛扎霖掌握，他为中饱私囊不惜侵吞战争补给款项。年轻的路易十四国王无法掌权，目前唯一的解决办法就是和西班牙公主结婚，中止两国之间的战争，中断玛扎霖巨额的经济来源，然后再从长计议。但不巧的是，路易十四的情人正是红衣主教的侄女玛瑞亚。巨大的经济利益和亲情关系让玛扎霖无论如何都不能袖手旁观，于是，一场秘密的刺杀行动开始了。

　　更水深火热的是玛扎霖派波顿夫人前往英国色诱王子，并得到了一封能证明路易十四国王并非正统继承人的信。玛扎霖谋权篡位的野心日益增大，在一次偶然的机会中，玛瑞亚发现了这封秘密信函，出于对路易十四的爱，她决定告之这个秘密。没想到却被心狠手辣的波顿夫人杀死，并污蔑瓦伦蒂娜是杀人凶手。瓦伦蒂娜以及新生一代的骑士们为了终止法国与西班牙之间的大战，也为了效忠于他们的国王，与主教的守卫们展开了殊死的搏斗。他们成功地将前来联婚的西班牙公主护送到了巴黎，并将那封关于王位传承的信交给了国王。
