◎简　　介

　　鲁斯蒂（艾德·赫尔姆斯 Ed Helms 饰）为了活跃家庭气氛，决定效仿老爸克拉克（切维·切斯 Chevy Chase 饰）当年的做法，带妻子与孩子们度过一个难忘而美好的假期。于是他买了辆新车，带着妻子黛比（克里斯蒂娜·艾伯盖特 Christina Applegat e 饰）及两个儿子：詹姆斯（斯凯勒·吉桑多 Sky ler Gisondo 饰）与凯文（斯蒂尔·史泰宾斯 Steele Stebbins 饰），驾车前往美国“最受家庭欢迎的”游乐园——威利鹿乐园。

　　一路上他们经历许多奇妙的遭遇：被大型货车追逐，骑著四轮车在草原上奔驰，在湍急的溪水中泛舟，泡进误以为是温泉的污水池，更有鲁斯蒂的健壮的妹夫斯通（克里斯·海姆斯沃斯 Chris Hemsworth 饰）大秀肌肉……
